Grand Prizes Awarded from 14th Annual Innovation Market
Local businesses went head to head at the Pitch Event where Siouxland GO members and sponsors got to vote on Siouxland’s next big business. The competing businesses were
selected by the public at Innovation Market in May.
The top 4 finalists presented their ideas more in depth and made a case as to why they are Siouxland’s next big business. First place received $5,000; second place received $2,500; third
place $1,000.
First place was awarded to Sizzle & Syrup LLC, an up and coming breakfast pop-up focused on making quality food items at an affordable cost to the public. They started this business in
response to an increase in demand for breakfast spots in recent years.
“We are extremely happy and excited that we won, and just want to say thank you to everybody who believes in us. When we first started setting this business up, we really strived to be living
proof that customer service, hard work and originality at all levels creates success,” says Trevor Wheelock, owner of Sizzle & Syrup LLC.
Second place was awarded to Orbit Creator Space, a creative agency that empowers artists and entrepreneurs to embrace their creativity. Third place was awarded to WorthLiven Wines, a
developing wine company and venue.
