Downtown Sioux City Facade Improvement Program

The City of Sioux City and Downtown Partners would like to extend an invitation to downtown property owners and businesses to apply for the 2022 Downtown Façade Improvement Program. More information about the program will be shared at Downtown Partners’ annual stakeholder meeting on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. This meeting will be held via Zoom, so please email info@downtownsiouxcity.com prior to June 20 to receive a link for access to the meeting.

The main purposes of the Downtown Façade Improvement Program are to improve the aesthetic appearance of the exterior façades of existing buildings and businesses within the Downtown Self-Supported Municipal Improvement District (SSMID), to restore the unique character of buildings in the Downtown SSMID as much as practicable, and to encourage private investment in properties and businesses in the Downtown SSMID.

The application deadline is July 29, 2022 by 4:30 p.m. Applications can be submitted in person on the 2nd floor of City Hall in the Economic Development Department or can be emailed in PDF format to rbillings@sioux-city.org.
