Restoration St. Louis, Inc. has received the “Growing Sioux City” award acknowledging the company’s investment in downtown Sioux City. RSL has invested $77.5 million in Downtown to rehabilitate the Warrior Hotel and Davidson buildings. The award was accepted by owners Amrit and Amy Gill and was presented by Mayor Bob Scott. A new tree will be planted to signify Restoration St. Louis’ commitment towards the growth of Sioux City, IA.
“We exist to strengthen and enhance the communities we operate in by redeveloping neglected neighborhoods and make them great places to live, work and play.” This is our mission statement said Amrit Gill, and we are happy to say that we are helping to grow Sioux City along with our banking partners with help from Dubuque Bank & Trust, Security National Bank, Cedar Rapids Bank and Trust and First Citizens Bank of Mason City. Since RSL invested $77.5 million in the historic renovations to The Warrior Hotel, which has received the AAA 4 Diamond rating with upscale style and amenities, enhanced with the right touch of service, there have been over 20 building permits started in downtown with growth being seen through multiple area businesses. This is all part of fulfilling Restoration St. Louis’ mission of strengthening and enhancing the community.
Restoration St. Louis wishes to continue its mission by starting a new project by expanding 614 Pierce into a new multifamily apartment building. Warrior Lofts will consist of a total of 32 units (24 studio units, 4 – 1-bedroom units and 4 – 2-bedroom units), most of these units will feature balconies on the 2nd and 3rd floors along with a leasing office on the ground floor. The main entrance will be located off Pierce Street, the 2nd floor will have a sundeck and communal grill. Residents will have access to the Warrior amenities (pool, spa, fitness, bowling alley and restaurants).
“We are very lucky to be here and work with the city on their growth strategy- it’s exciting to be here with so much going on.” said Amy Gill.
RSL is pleased and grateful to have received this award and looks forward to being a catalyst for more development in downtown Sioux City.
