The Sioux City Economic Development Department will host the spring 2016 “Business for Breakfast” event on Wednesday, April 6 at 7:30am at the Sioux City Convention Center. The free event will feature Roger Brooks as he shares the “Ingredients of a Successful Downtown”.
A past board member of the U.S. Travel Association, a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), and author of the popular book “Your Town: A Destination – The 25 Immutable Rules of Successful Tourism,” Roger has become one of the world’s most popular keynote speakers and authorities in the travel industry.
Roger and his team spent nearly six years surveying and studying more than 400 well-branded, vibrant downtowns, downtown districts and communities in North America to uncover the most common elements that led to their success. In this photographic “idea book” presentation, Roger will share stories from these great places, see dozens of photographic examples, and learn the universal ingredients needed to enhance Sioux City as an outstanding destination.
Over the past 30 years Roger has helped thousands of people transform ordinary places, businesses, and attractions into incredibly successful destinations. One of the most recognized and frequently quoted experts in the travel industry, Roger has worked with nearly a thousand communities, as well as states, provinces, national parks, and countries in their branding and marketing efforts. He is the go-to expert for anyone with ties to the travel industry or in downtown development, where most travel spending takes place.
Business for Breakfast is a networking forum for company executives, entrepreneurs, higher education students, and professionals interested in emerging business trends and topics.
