Growing Sioux City Recognition

The Sioux City Economic Development Department has created this award to highlight businesses that provide significant growth and commitment in Sioux City. Companies are selected on a periodic basis and recognized by the Mayor and Council members. Those businesses are given a certificate to receive a complimentary tree, signifying the growth of the business and helping to beautify the City, which will be planted on their property by City crews.

The marketing initiative is geared towards building partnerships as well as recognizing and promoting business growth within in the Sioux City community.

Restoration St. Louis

Restoration St. Louis completed $77.5 million in historic renovations to the Warrior Hotel and Davidson building in downtown, with upscale style and amenities available at the AAA Four Diamond hotel and luxury apartments. A Growing Sioux City Award was presented to Amrit & Amy Gill and their team.

With a 942,000 SF facility and 1,800 employees, Seaboard Triumph Foods was joined by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and Mayor Bob Scott to celebrate their one-year anniversary of the start of production at STF's new Sioux City facility.

July 7, 2017

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City opened a $128 million venue in August 2014 and recently celebrated the completion of a $6.2 million expansion that added nearly 8,000 sq. ft. to the property. Today's event celebrates a new food truck option for guests.

Braunger Foods Grows Business in Bridgeport

Food service distribution company, Braunger Foods, was presented with a Growing Sioux City Award recognizing their recent relocation and expansion in Bridgeport Industrial Park. The $2.2 million project included renovating an existing 48,000 sq. ft. facility and adding more than 27,000 sq. ft. to the warehouse.

Echo Electric Supply Completes New Facility

April 15, 2016

Wholesale electric supply company, Echo Electric Supply, completed construction of a new 45,000 sq. ft. warehouse and distribution facility located in the Yards I-29 Business Park. The $2.79 million project is set on 4.8 acres with the retention of 24 and creation of 13 new jobs.

Cargill Receives City Award for Growth
May 3rd, 2012

A “Growing Sioux City Award” was presented to Cargill, Inc. today recognizing the company’s significant growth and investment in Sioux City. The award, presented by Mayor Bob Scott, was accepted by Cargill facility superintendent, Brian Spencer. Cargill executives were provided Sioux City windshirts and a magnolia tree was planted at the business entrance at 18th & Steuben Streets, signifying the company’s commitment to growing in Sioux City.
