Sioux City Metro Growth Receives High Ranks

A leading executive magazine covering corporate site selection and relocation has   ranked the Sioux City metro #1 in the Top 20 Mid-Size Cities for "Year-Over-Year Growth".

Area Development magazine analyzed economic and workforce data for 394 metropolitan statistic areas (MSA's) to determine their recent and longer-term economic vitality as well as capacity to support business growth and prosperity. In the publication’s “100 Leading Locations for 2016” the Sioux City MSA received high marks in several categories, including:

- #18 in the overall "100 Leading Locations" (from #278 in 2015)

- #20 in Top 20 Cities – “Five-Year Growth”

- #9 in Top 20 Mid-Size Cities – “Five-Year Growth”

- #2 in Top 20 Cities – “Year-Over-Year Growth”

- #6 in Top 30 Mid-Size Cities

- #19 in Top 20 Cities – “Economic Strength”

- #7 in Top Mid-Size Cities – “Economic Strength”
