The City of Sioux City is seeking a developer or multiple developers for a 21.4 acre site in the Bridgeport West Industrial Park. The site includes a 4.8 acre site containing a 50,000 s.f. industrial spec "shell" building and a 16.64 acre greenfield site. The land is located directly across the street from the new $300 million Seaboard Triumph Foods pork processing plant with new industrial scale infrastructure and multiple access points to I-29. Proposals are encouraged for the development of all or a portion of the site which may or may not include the purchase of the spec shell building. Submissions are encouraged to include all requested data including total capital investment, taxable value created by the project, new jobs created by the project, and other relevant information regarding the economic benefits of the project. A preliminary site plan is encouraged. Proposals will also be judged on efficient use of the site – proposals which allow for multiple developments on the site will be preferred.
